how to Using Windows Movie Maker

Jun 3, 2008

Windows Movie Maker is a totally free program that comes with Windows XP Home
Edition, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional, and Windows
Vista. This tutorial will cover how to use Windows Movie Maker Version 2.0 and 2.1.
One of these versions are probably already installed on your computer if you use
Windows XP with Service Pack Two. If you are using Windows XP with Service Pack
One then you’re computer probably has an older version of Windows Movie Maker
installed. If this is the case, upgrade to Service Pack Two and Windows Movie Maker
Version 2.1 from the official Microsoft Update Website,
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Windows Movie Maker 2.1 and lower are not compatible with Windows Vista. Another
version of Windows Movie Maker, version 2.6, runs only in Windows Vista, and can do
everything version 2.1 and 2.0 can.
If for some reason you have Windows XP with Service Pack Two but you don’t have
Windows Movie Maker Version 2.0 or 2.1 installed, then click on the link below and then
click on Download Now to download Windows Movie Maker Version 2.0:

Video editing can require massive amounts of free hard drive space. For ensure
successful editing, I recommend that you make sure you have at least two gigabytes of
free space on your Windows hard drive (usually called the C drive or C:\) before you
begin editing.
Once you have Windows Movie Maker Version 2.0 or 2.1 installed on your Windows XP
computer, or Windows Movie Maker version 2.6 installed on your Windows Vista
computer, you can begin editing movies! Start by opening Windows Movie Maker.
To open Windows Movie Maker in Windows XP, click on Start, then click on Programs
or All Programs, then click on Accessories, then click on Windows Movie Maker. The
Windows Movie Maker Window will appear. If you don’t see Windows Movie Maker
under Accessories, click on the Entertainment folder under Accessories.
To open Windows Movie Maker in Windows Vista, click on the Start orb, then click on
the Search box. Start typing the phrase Windows Movie Maker into the search box.
When Windows Movie Maker appears above the search box, click on it. The Windows
